I SAID that I would do it someday! So, yeah. The one and only Purple Marauder from Drew Hayes' comic Poison Elves. After a Mucha-piece (Médée from 1898).

While the city sleeps, he watches. SO BEWARE, FORNICATORS! NYAR!

A few hours of scetching and inking, and pretty much exactly 3 hours of colouring.

Bwahahaha! Oh god, that's perfect. There's something about the art noveau framing that makes me think of a tarot card though, and then my brain goes on to Poison Elves Tarot...

At least he's covering some of his thong with his hat! I could have drawn some clothes on him, but... the urge to draw all that body hair was too great. I don't have enough hairy men in my gallery.

Fornicator is basically someone who's having sex even though s/he shouldn't, or having sex with someone s/he shouldn't. The Marauder has ';problems' with women and is basically on a quest to turn all men away from "the septic company of women". He gets his ass kicked a LOT. But he has some of the best lines ever. :giggle:

Purple's a royal colour, of course it rules. ^^
